Four years after our loss – things are still coming back on Fort Myers Beach.
If you haven’t visited Fort Myers Beach since before September 28, 2022, you may be surprised by how much progress is happening. Recovery takes time, but year by year, another piece of our island comes back to life. While there’s still work ahead, it’s exciting to watch Fort Myers Beach continue moving forward.
The Fort Myers Beach Pier Is Finally Moving Forward
After a long wait, construction on the new Fort Myers Beach Pier is finally getting underway. The pier has always been one of the island’s most recognizable landmarks, and seeing progress begin is exciting for both residents and visitors. We look forward to watching this new chapter take shape. Watch Your Speed on the New Bridge
If you’re driving onto the island, please pay close attention to the posted speed limits on the new bridge. The speed limit changes quickly in several areas, and it’s easy to miss if you’re not watching the signs. A little extra attention helps keep everyone safe while enjoying our beautiful island.

The marina area behind Santini Plaza continues to grow.
The location known as the Ship’s Store is now open and offers:
- Live Bait
- Marine fuel
- Dry boat storage
- Ice Cream
- Beer

South Beach Grill Is NOW OPEN!
South Beach Grill has officially reopened and is once again welcoming guests at Santini Plaza!
For years, South Beach Grill has been a favorite dining destination for locals and visitors to the plaza. The beautiful transformation is now complete, and we’re thrilled to see this beloved restaurant serving the Fort Myers Beach community once again.
